...making stuff up since 1978.
Hi, and welcome to my official website. Glad you could stop by.
As 2018 winds to a close, I'll admit it was an exciting and fulfilling year in myriad ways. The schools and libraries who invited me to visit were amazing hosts. I had a wonderful time engaging with the students and the faculty. If your organization or school is interested in hosting me, please check out my Author Visits page.
Due to personal reasons, I've had to cancel the following engagements:
November 5-8, 2018 - Branson Days, Branson, Missouri - Please drop by and say 'hi' if you're in the area.
November 9-11, 2018 - MWSA Conference in Charleston, SC. (More information to follow.)
Check back later to catch a glimpse of my 2019 calendar.
Every month we're going to showcase an amazing book and provide links for purchase. I'm so excited to share this month's book: Mr. Gary Gots a Friend. This book available for purchase in paper back and hardcover. I think you'll love the illustrator's imagination, as well.
Who can determine what makes a family? Is a grandparent and grandchild considered a family? How about a single parent with children? Two individuals of the same sex or unspecified gender? Who's to say, and why should it matter?
Families are like yummy brownies. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some are frosted. Some are plain. Some even have nuts. No matter who you call your family member, love is the main ingredient.
